Asir Road

About the project

The Asir Development Authority asked us for a film introducing visitors to the mountain road between Abha and Rijal Almaa — not as a tourist route, but as the story of people who have lived on the mountain's edge and built their homes from its stone.

We filmed over eleven days across nine locations, from the fog over Al Soudah at dawn to Abha's markets at dusk. We let the region's own people carry the narration — no outside voiceover — and kept the camera still enough to let the place speak.
